How to play oklahoma Rummy

Oklahoma Gin is another variant of the popular rummy game called Gin Rummy.
There are certain rules and regulations which needs to be followed to play this game.Here we discuss a simple guide on how to play Oklahoma Gin.
This is a skill based game which can be played with 2-4 players. If there are only 2 players in the game, then only 10 cards are dealt with by each player.
If it is a 3-4 player based game then each player will be dealt with 7 cards.

The winner in the game of Oklahoma Gin is the one who can get rid of all the cards in his hand by melding the cards into sets and runs and laying them finally.
A set basically consists of 3-4 cards of the same value but a run consists of consecutive cards from a suit. A player can start by either drawing a card from the stock or from the discarded pile.
A turn gets over when a player discards a card from his hand onto the discarded pile. The three ways of winning a game of Oklahoma Gin are Gin,Knock and Undercut.
Gin is a situation in which a player melds all his cards and discards his last card.He shouldn’t have deadwood left in his hand.
Knock is a condition in which a player melds all his cards and his deadwood value is equal to opening card’s face value or lower than that.
And in Undercut a player’s deadwood count will be equal to that of the knocker or lower than him.

After a particular player knocks, his opponent may lay his melds on the table and he can decrease his deadwood count and in this way he can reduce his penalty points.
And in a multi round Oklahoma Gin game, the winner is the one who accumulates the maximum amount of points.
The player who Gin is rewarded with 25 points and his opponent  would get double the valuedeadwood count as penalty.
In this game aces are counted as 1 point and all other face cards have 10 point value.And other cards are worth their face value. This game of Oklahoma Gin is really fun to play and enjoy.
